The Old Gods

The Old Gods are the creators of both The Isle of Solace and The Outside World, and are thought to be manifestations or creators of universal forces of the cosmos. There are 8 known Old Gods, but only 4 are not confirmed to be dead. The "living" gods claimed by the pantheon are The Father of Battle, Tiamat, The Eternal Fool, and The Grim Maiden. There is contention from both The Church of the Divine Monarchy and the worshippers of Bahamut Almasdar, as the former claims The Grim Maiden as their own, and the latter claims that Tiamat has been reformed as a platinum paragon of truth and justice. The Father of Battle does not often leave Grandgreat, but the last several times have been absolute slaughters on the battlefield. After the Dragon War he spent years on the killing fields attacking all who came near, driven to madness by the painful loss of his family. The Eternal Fool seems to have withdrawn either from the world entirely or at least Solace, as nobody has reported offerings or prayers to him being answered for over 1,200 years.
