The Internal War
The war between flesh and spirit has raged since the eternal creation of Solace. Most wars would be fought over land, politics, economics, specific resources, or glory. This war though is very different from most, both in weapon and reason. How does one fight a war of desire, free will, and choice? In a universe as open as this one the weapon would have to be a weapon of influence. The raw influence of one would gradually change the other. A war of attrition that slowly weakens the enemy to the point of destruction. Alter the mind, divert the will, change the spirit. Yet what do you do when the forces in this war derive their power from the same place? How do you cope when the battlefield is not in some distant land or some war-torn country, but instead in your own heart? This is the true nature of this terrible war. A war of identity that shatters all logic and reason, transcending into the planes of existence that can scarcely be described through the blunt instrument of language. One right path, a narrow road versus a highway of limitless possibility. One truth fighting an endless influence of lies and deceit, yet amidst the darkness there is light. The truth of God is not just in my heart, but it's also all around me. Solace is infinite, but God is bigger. God's power comes from outside this eternal wave and because of this victory is assured. The battles are sometimes long and painful, and some will last a lifetime. I suspect that this war will not leave and physical scars, but spiritual ones instead. Though The Internal war rages on until the end of Solace, remember that Christ has already won. True Solace will come.

The Conflict
Deployment
New Solace has various stations and deployments set within itself and on the outer reaches of Old Solace that are geared toward salvation and judgment. While the creatures of Old Solace are usually more interested in their own plots and pleasures, they will at times and in various ways to resist the allure of love and peace, even to the point of violence.
Battlefield
Waves of desire and influence crash against the solid foundations of truth and love. In turn, the truth brings more into the fold, weakening the currents that have swept so many into chaos. Still the waves do wear on the rock some days, and some pebbles do fall away into the Eternus of want.
Conditions
The Saints of New Solace fight a holy war of attrition and conversion. With a sword in one hand and an olive branch in the other Saints reach out into Old Solace, wishing to save the inhabitants from the corrupting influences of sin. Though some creatures join the forces of light, many others resist and even retaliate against New Solaces' attempts to lead them away from their chosen bliss or agony.
The Engagement
Though peaceful resolutions and conversions have occurred, more often than not the slow battle of conversion is both brutal and occurred. Identity itself is contested, whether it be by the sword, claw, talon, or spoken word.
Outcome
A painful battle ensues that slowly changes Solace.
Aftermath
Eternal peace and content await in Heaven with Jesus Christ.
