Gootel

Gootels are capsule hotels similar to these in Japan but are made out of Building-Goo. They are based on a big liquid pool in which the sleeping guests are submerged with gooey capsules, in which their air pockets. Most travelers like the easy use and access to the entertainment systems of the Goo Virtual Reality System, as well as the cheap prices.

Utility

Gootels are hotels with gooey capsules to sleep inside. They fulfill exactly the role of a simple and quickly accessible hotel for travelers. The capsules are controlled by the goocave AI Sagi and all communication with guests is handled by the biological AI. When wishing to sleep in a gootel, you simply enter the building and walk to one of the Gooputer interfaces or one of the Sagi AI Avatar bodies. After stating your wish to rest and the duration, the AI will ask you for your national id to identify from which nation you come. Citizens of the Federation of Slimea generally are allowed to sleep for free in the gootels, while the exact state of your nation to the federation as well as your personal wealth decides how much you pay for a night. Rich travelers from unfriendly states may need up to pay 1000 Euro per night, while poorer guests of friendly nations only pay 10 Euro per night. After payment and identification are done, you will sink into the gooey ground. The whole Gootel is built out of Building-Goo and works as a big storage pool for the capsules. A gooey cocoon will lay around you and you will be stored inside the gooey pool underground. From then on you can decide to sleep directly or use the vast entertainment offers similar to these of the Goocave Transport System, including access to the Goo Virtual Reality System.
At the start of the next day, and depending on your wish, the AI will gently wake you up and transport you up to the surface again.

Manufacturing

The build process of a gootel is easy. At first, a hole is dug into the ground. Then you fill the hole with a special liquid Building-Goo produced by the local Googirl construction workers. After the pool is created, you build the one-floor house above it with the pool as the ground. Finally, you attach the pool to a Sagi AI. The AI will activate the gootel protocol and organize the gooey pool, including creating a surface to stand on at top of the pool by changing the structure of the building goo. After the AI is finished, which takes around one hour, the gootel is ready to take in its first visitors.

Social Impact

The creation of Gootels at central locations quickly threatened cheap hotels in the area. The big capacities due to the capsule design and the cheap price for most make it hard to compete against it. Hotels in an area with a close Gootel were required to adapt and to offer their customers benefits like free meals, good service, or a wonderful view. All who could not provide these closed eventually. Especially for citizens of the Federation of Slimea, travel became cheap and easy due to the Gootels. They could travel very spontaneously to another city, do a sightseeing tour and then sleep in one of the gootels before either continuing their travel or going back home.

Access & Availability
Gootels are available wherever a Goocave is. It requires the AI system Sagi of the goocaves to operate.
Discovery
After giving the AI Sagi access to the internet, she found an interest in the capsule hotels of Japan. The AI quickly developed a complex design paper, to be precise 5 different ones, and presented them to her mother Saya Sumpfkraut and the googirl queen Suchiru Eisenstein. The idea was welcomed and after some decisions, they came to an agreement on one design, and the first gootels were quickly constructed in the Slimean Lands.

"Rich travelers from unfriendly states may need up to pay 1000 Euro per night, while poorer guests of friendly nations only pay 10 Euro per night."   I don't think that anyone smart enough to make that much money would be stupid enough to see someone pay 10 Euros, be asked to pay 1000 Euros for the exact same service, and go "Yeah, that sounds reasonable to me."   If I owned a burger shop and sold each burger I sold for 3 dollars, but sold the same burger to elderly people for 300 dollars then would that be fair. No, it wouldn't. For the same cost, they could head down to a different burger shop and get the same service for significantly less.   Rich tourists would likely know that paying 76 dollars on average for one night at a hotel would be significantly cheaper than paying ~1035 Dollars a night. (They put the prices in Dollars instead of Euros for some reason.) That's at least 12 times the price.   After looking up what a capsule hotel is, I've realized that this is even worse than I thought. According to Booking.com, it costs on average 4 dollars a night for a capsule hotel in Tokyo. The rich guests from unfriendly nations are paying at least 258 times its worth and the poor guests from friendly nations are paying 250%. Ouch. A bit greedy don't you think. XD

It is important to realize that Slimea is more tending toward socialism. They dislike people hoarding huge riches. I am speaking of multi-million dollar owners. No human's work or idea is worth that money. It can only be generated by exploiting others.   Additionally, they have a monopoly on them and apply this logic to most of their monopoly technologies, like their medicine. if someone is exploiting others to gain huge riches without working for it, then it is only fair that they have to pay accordingly. Suchiru dislikes rich people and she let them feel this dislike. Sure, the riches won't use the services. But that's the goal. Suchiru does not want to provide her nation's services to rich people and if they really want to use them anyways, then they must pay accordingly for their lacking work for their money. Slimea is not a capitalistic country.   And to the price for capsule Hotels: The Gootel capsules offer some more privacy and more entertainment services than the normal Japanese ones :)
