History

The fusion collar is an ancient technology that was developed back during the War in Heaven. It is seen as an old and not very complex item by the angels, yet it is like pure magic for all beings who are not of the Angel species. During the war, it was used as a weapon, to create stronger soldiers. The limited use and the limited time frame of usage quickly brought it out of service and it turned into an object for entertainment for many angels. Today it is nothing more than a toy for most of them and one that most angels can produce easily by themselves.
On Earth, the item was introduced by Kiseki Tenshi in 2018 as a way to help the local population and to earn money for herself after her banishment to earth one year before. The many Fusions that resulted out of the usage of the collar made it very popular in the population of earth over the years.

Significance

In the Fallen Angel Empire, the item is just a toy and has no significance at all for the population. Meanwhile, in other societies like on Earth, the collar is seen as a godly item and has a huge impact due to the power level of a Fusion.

FAQ

Can fusions fuse with other fusions?

In theory, they can. It does not matter how many souls fuse together to a Fusion, but the fusion becomes more unstable with each added soul. Due to the limitation of the Fusion Collar, this instability allows only for very limited multi-fusion existences. While uninfused, non-magical beings, like a normal Human, may fuse with 4 or more souls and still result in a relatively stable fusion that can exist for multiple days, this becomes nearly impossible for already mighty souls.
