Karhakkhas' Queendom

The Karhakkas Queendom is a militant Terrkarakki faction that sits close to slidespace and alliance borders. It is the faction responsible for the war with the Glyceans and is regarded by most other factions as formidable and cunning. This faction made a name for itself even among other Krakki due to its pattern of taking over already settled krakki planets for their own use. While most krakki are fine choosing an unoccupied world, this faction chooses to ride off of the work of others and does so with brutal efficiency. In modern, allied times, this faction's matriarchs are always challenging the notions of peace set forth by others, and took a major part in creating the currently upheld policy that the alliance cannot interfere with 'civil war' type conflicts: those contained within only one species.

Government and Policy

The Karhakkas' Queendom is governed by five queens, and is sometimes referred to as the Quintouple Queendom. In an impressive show of cooperation, these five rulers combine their influence to govern their people with an enthusiastic iron fist. Their word is absolute, even if the word comes from only one of the queens.   The krahakkas' queens live lives of luxury in each other's company. They give the job of caring for their young to trusted servants, and allow only their inner circle of friends and grown sons anywhere near them on a day to day basis. Each queen takes on the last name karhakkas, and gives their children last names of their choosing. The favored sons of the queens are often pushed to compete against each other for the right to succeed their mother's throne, and this competition is supercharged if any of them end up making it to the female stage themselves. Grown daughters to the queens have limited authority to boss others around, and are often sent to oversee external planets as a test of their ruling skills and to get them out of their mother's range. Murder is not an unheard of path to the throne, but is a difficult one for any respectable queen is herself a monster in size and intelligence.

Law Enforcement

The Karhakkas' Queendom does not take kindly to traitors and rule breakers. Those who break the law in this faction and go against the rulings of the queens in considered disposable and often exiled or killed. Despite this brutal hammer hanging over the heads of the people, life is considered to be easy for a krakki who knows their place. The Queen's enforcers are far kinder to their own than to outsiders, after all.   Actions that may get you killed in the queendom include:
  • Avoiding a military draft
  • Refusing a queen's order
  • Refusing an enforcer's order
  • Seeking to inflict harm on the Queens or their family
  •

    Demographics

The queendom is composed of entirely krakki. The primary ethnicity found within the queendom are those of 'karhak' descent: a term given to an ethnicity that used to be described as a "deep cave" variant of the species. Karhak krakki tend to have highly spurred tails and horns that curve at odd angles. They are the ethnicity with the highest number of white-eyed individuals and tend to have longer bodies and paler skin than their kin.

    Culture

The krakki of the queendom are known for their loud, forceful personalities and vigor. While they need to swear loyalty to survive, within those boundaries they are a jovial force to be reckoned with. Notorious for their intensity and love of loud music, it's said there is no party like a karhakkas party. Outsiders might think the atmosphere of such a strict regime would be dull and oppressive, but the karhakkas instead lean hard into festivals and celebrating their own culture as much as they can. As long as things are going well for their people, it's a jubilant and bright world. If things were to go badly, however... well, they find no point in dwelling on that! Karhakkas number one!   These traits are common among karhakkas krakki:
  • Ingenuity
  • Loyalty
  • Stubbornness
  • Honor
  • Passion
  • History

The Karhakkas' Queendom started as all krakki factions do: as a colony ship sent out to ease the population crisis back on Vita-Ra. This faction encountered great difficulty on their planet and were unable to terraform it into a habitable state. Feeling doomed, fear began to grip the people of the colony until a group of leaders emerged with a plan. The plan was: they would simply take a terraformed planet from someone else. Not expecting such an attack, their first claim was easy and bolstered the spirits of the young queendom and inspired great faith in their leaders. The faction would eventually be chased out of this first home, but would not give up their strategy: eventually establishing themselves in the space nearto the slidespace anomaly. It was a valuable area to settle, so they had no shortage of easy targets.   the planet that gave them the most trouble was not one of their own kind, but that of the Glyceans. The karhakkas were not as successful when fighting against the might of an entire home world. Instead of accepting the shame of defeat, this faction agreed to the trallyr's suggestions of peace in order to pull back from the conflict and see what all these new aliens were going on about.   Now, the queendom is seen as a threat by many who know their history, but has yet to betray the rules of the alliance and react with shock and offense at any who might imply otherwise.

    Allied

This alliance is fueled by strong, joint business ventures like Aster-Rip Co.

    In Business

The queendom is one of the few factions that have been able to slip unfavorable deals past the trade federation. While the KTF wouldn't go back on these deals, they are somewhat wary.

    Tentative Peace

The factions often squabble, but the Local Alliance wants to avoid real conflict if at all possible. The Queendom is keenly aware of this and happily throws their weight around.

    Uneasy Truce

Despite the Alliance ending the war between these factions, there is little love to be found between them. The Krakki are more willing to forgive and forget than those they attacked are.
