The Scholar
A young woman with red hair in blue robes is scribbling in a notebook. Asking about the painting sends her off into a detailed history lesson that is hard to follow. It takes entirely too long for her to catch you up to today’s events. “Well, all that to say I’ve been very invested in Ophimae’s story. I’m a little jealous that someone is getting so much time alone with the portrait.”
The Maid
You approach a woman sweeping diligently at one corner of the room. Pressing her for information she seems evasive. “I only work in the daytime, and when I came in to start my shift the painting was gone. I must say the lack of crowds has been rather nice. Fewer people means less filth being tracked through the building.”
The Curator
Compared to the scholar the Curator is downright unsociable. It takes a great deal of pressing to get him to answer anything. Finally he sighs and crosses his arms as he narrows his eyes at you. “I don’t know anything about the damm painting. I have too many other things to worry about to be bothered with a single painting.”
