Lieutenant-Colonel

Lieutenant-Colonel is the second highest field rank that officers of the Asta Militarum can reach. Whereas a Colonel will command a regiment, the Lieutenant-Colonel will tend to act as an adjudant, Executive Officer or second-in-command to the Colonel and may also be in charge of a battalion of companies.
As with any rank found in the Imperial Guard, the Departmento Munitorum doesn't recognised each and every one, merely groups them as senior or junior officers, with Lieutenant-Colonel beign a Senior Officer rank.
