1st Franken Fusiliers Regiment

The 1st Franken Fusiliers Regiment is the primary ground force of  House Franken, whom operate in conjunction with the Imperial Knight lances that the House is known for.

Structure

The 1st Franken Fusilier regiment is set up along the lines of a "standard" Astra Militarum Regiment, with a colonel leading a number of platoons, which are then further divided into squads. This is primarily to facilitate better cooperation to forces that House franken ahs been hired by. Wherever they are deployed, they are never put under direct command of anyone outside of House Franken, typically acting as infantry support to the deployed knight lances.

Culture

Franken Fusilier regiments are predominantly made up of soliders taken from around the Imperium, whom have signed up to be part of House Franken's infantry forces and as such are taught and moulded in line with the Codex Jermani. Regnitzian dialect of gothic is spoken for all official business (orders, dispatches etc) and the regiments are clothed in traditional Regnitzian uniform. This enforced uniformity means that, although they joined to make money, they develop a shared identity and soon see themselves are truly Regnitian citizens

Public Agenda

Due to their aloofness in command and the fact they are mercenaries, most other regiments take a dim view of the Fusiliers, seeing them as parading money-grabbers, who are more interested in looking good than serving the Emperor- not true guardsmen worthy of respect. That is not to say there aren't instances where fusiliers have gotten on fabulously with typically tithed regiments, forming close bonds with them, forged through a shared experience of war on the Imperium's frontlines

Assets

Equipped with Regntizian pattern las-muskets, the 1st Franken are dressed in traditional brightly coloured, dual coloured uniforms, with polished black armour, reflecting the armour worn of the Knight suits. On this uniform are small differences which further distinguish fusiliers into companies. The first regiment wears a white flak longcoat with red facings, black busby helmets with a coloured cord indicating company affiliation. Underneath the wear a blue tunic and white trousers, grey webbing and black militarum issue boots.
