Regnitz

Regnitz is a peaceful agri-world, ruled over by House Franken for as long as records existed. Once considered as prosperous and as populous as an agri-world could be and still maintain that tithe classification, the planet suffered strangely when the Great Rift opened, leaving all puzzled- House Franken, the Imperial Inquisition, even the Tech-Priests of Mars- none have been able to understand what has happened.

History

Regnitz was settled before the Imperium of Man came into being, when one of the colony ships that all Knight Houses throughout the galaxy can derive their existence from, discovered this temperate, if not sometime dampened, world of vast mountain ranges, surrounded by swathes of green plains.   The start of the settlement of Regnitz is pretty much the same as many a knight world- the colony ships were broken up and recycled into the first buildings, the planet began producing crops and livestock on the plain, and mining resources from the mountains and the nobility were formed those whom had access to the Knight suits and would protect villages and towns from the various carnivorous wildlife they found on their new home.   Centuries later, when the Imperium reached the world, they found an established agri-world ruled over by a number of distinct knight houses, whom all tended to bmlesd independent nations on the planets surface, even entering formalised war with each other to control import elector seats, from whichbthe planets governing nobility ate selected. Yet despite this, all houses unequivocally answer to the planets ruler. Their delegation was met with great intrigue and their allegiance to the Adeptus Terra was forged.   They adopted common titles initially, as most Knight world do, to describe their different positions in the hierarchy of the world, yet at some point the Ecclesiarchy temporarily gained power which changed titles used and which remain to this day.   The world was a pleasant world by Imperial standards up until the Great Rift opened and tore the laws of physics up and flipped the galaxy around, Regnitz included, for upon his return from crusading, the Heir apparent- Prince-Bishop Wilhelm Kitzmann-Dassler returned to find the world empty of civilisation. All of the buildings and cities that mankind had brought to the world millenia ago were gone, leaving the world seeming u touched as the day the colonists would have found it. Indeed, after lengthy investigations both the Inquisition and the Adeptus Mechanicus agreed- the rift had reversed time thousands of years, returning Regnitz to an unaltered agri-world and the Prince-Bishop was now the ruler of an empty world, with no family and only the survivors he returned with as proof that civilisation once existed here.
