Raviden
"He wanted to believe she trusted him, that she would love him no matter what, that it was truly his heart that mattered, but he knew better. He'd been here many times before, in his countless centuries. He'd come to realize that people didn't truly mean what they said. So, instead of dispersing his illusion and showing his true face, he turned, and made his way back home, ignoring her pleas and cries. The world didn't want a creature like him, didn't trust a creature like him, and why should they? He was the child of a horrible man, a creature with devastating capability, a being with a twisted figure and face. Fear was the only cure for his kind."Bunbu Na was a twisted and despicable god set on the corruption and destruction of a world he considered weak and unworthy. It was no surprise that he blessed Kenkaya, a chieftan guilty of murdering, raping, and enslaving his people. To Bunbu Na, the chief was the prime example of dominance and corruption. Now the Twisted God runs in the Raviden bloodline, filling them with a corrupting power. As descendants of Kenkaya, many Raviden are creatures of rape and hate, many being hunted and killed simply for existing. So there are many who hide their true face behind illusions and masks. There are just as many, however, who embrace what the people think and become murderers and rapists themselves.-Children of Pain
Basic Information
Anatomy
Raviden are a twisted and malformed being. Looking like a raven merged with an emaciated human, they are seen as disgusting and irreparable creatures. Many have a large beak instead of a mouth, several sets of dark but vibrant colored eyes, greyish and goosey skin with tufts of feathers, and a large set of broken, but operable, wings.
Due to their horrendous figure that easily sets them out from the crowd, many Raviden who seek to live a normal life will use illusions and trans-formative spells to hide their true nature.
Genetics and Reproduction
Raviden are cursed to never have children in a natural manner, only able to do so through acts of pain, agony, and dominance such as rape, slavery, or necrophilia. Any race can birth a Raviden, but generally dying due to the fully-formed aasimar clawing its way out of the parent. If it is a corpse used for reproductive means, then the cadaver will be a source of nutrition for child until, after several moths, it erupts from the corpse fully grown.
