But everyone else? The normal folks? They just say it's called that 'cause you're gonna die down here.'"
Welcome to Skeleton City, a post-apocalyptic science fantasy setting. The remains of humanity have begun life anew in underground cave systems and the buried ruins of much older cities. Skeleton City is one of the largest populated areas, with multiple 'levels' to explore.
Social machinations and political intrigue rule the upper Markets. The lower levels are home to dangerous gangs and punk-rock mercenaries. And in the deepest caverns of Skeleton City, surreal horrors wait in every shadow.

Most of the images used in the Skeleton City project were generated using an AI image generator. While the terms of use for this tool state that the generated images can be used freely for any legal purpose, I (the author) believe that AI art does not properly credit the artists whose work was used to develop the AI's functionality. This raises issues around intellectual property and fair compensation for creative labor. For this reason, if this project is ever presented for commercial use, I will take down the AI-generated images and replace them with either my own original artwork or commissions from human artists. My goal is to ensure that any elements in this project appropriately recognize and credit the creative efforts that went into their creation.
