Archdevils, supreme rulers of The nine hells , reign as the strongest and most cunning among devils. Each governs a layer or part of a layer, with the mightiest occupying Supreme positions and lesser archdevils serving them.
Distinguished by unique appearances and behaviors, archdevils share a common hunger for power and treachery, particularly among themselves. Only a select few can be trusted, and only an archdevil can elevate a Devil 's rank.
While fewer in number than archfey , Archangel , and Demon lords , the strongest archdevils surpass other non-deific leaders of the planes.
