Milkmen Skimming

It is a festival taking place on the 16th and 17th days of the year. Although its name and origin put the milkmen at the centre of this festival, history has made it a celebration of the unity of the Mountain People and a feast of thanks to nature and reconciliation in this time of the New Year. Originating from the picturesque region of Rivikia, composing the northern part of the Yarendor region since the Fracture. The festival dates from before this tragic event and is very symbolic of the union of the Mountain People. Indeed it was one of the rare dates when all the people, whatever their religious orientation (and therefore their rhythm of life), gathered together, hand in hand. The festival lasted one day and one night and everyone was strongly encouraged to participate from one end to the other. Very close to the beginning of the year and coming at the end of the Oak Marble maceration season, it celebrates at the same time the rebirth of nature and the gift of nature that is this alcoholic beverage. We don't know exactly how this date was celebrated, but a legend says that it was around freshly fermented Oak Marble, on the evening of Astrelfane the 16th of 65 after the The First Ascension, that the town of Arholt was founded in the foothills of the Mountain of Stars. It is said that the inhabitants of the small villages of the region met that evening in an inn whose name has since been forgotten.
