Snow Children

In Inmalenor couples unable to get children get a small sense of hope from the myth of the Snow Children. The legends say that the Goddess Inmalia feels endless sorrow for their fate and might leave a child in the snow for these couples to find. These are the Snow Children, and are considered to bring luck to the people taking care of it after it's found, as well as being lucky children themselves.

Historical Basis

The myth of the Snow Children has a dark truth beneath the hope and happiness. These children are more often than not abandoned by their mothers to either freeze to death or be eaten by a wild animal. Inmalenor can be a harsh place, and bringing up a child as well as surviving might not always both be possible.

Although not happening too often, children are left out in the snow to die often enough to have spawned a myth.
