Valley of the Lost

The Valley of the Lost is where MU placed those humans that he knew would not be ready for combat when he took them to the The Questing Fields. The Valley is home to those too young, old, or any number of reasons that would prevent them to be of use to the cause of the Earth's defense within 6 months. Many expecting couples, young children or nursing home residents end up here, taking care of by magical servitors that ensure they are happy healthy, and in the case of children educated.   Mu took inspiration from the human myths of Poltergeists when he created the Shade condition. The residents of the Valley become shadowy and insubstantial to anyone other than themselves, as their bodies are shunted to be out of sync with conventional reality. This keeps them safe from the monsters that roam the world of the Fields, but interacting with the world outside of the Valley can be an exercise in patience as squeezing or moving items too fast leads them to fall through their destabilized bodies.

Geography

The Geography of the Plane of Lost is unconventional. The Valley is locked within time based on certain areas, with the city at the center of the valley in an endless sunset and the low lying forests surrounding it in perpetual twilight. The mechanics of how this works has yet to be explained by Mu, but in his words, he said this:
I do what I want ~ Mu(Paraphrased)
The Valley doesn't exist in the Questing field as a physical location, rather resident Shades of the city can travel there by going down any unviewed alley or crack in a wall. in this same method, the shades can leave the city and scout the land.
