The Healery of Dion

This one of the largest buildings in the city of Dion. This three-story high healery is open to the public at any hour of the day or night and it is open to anyone, save for outlaws and evildoers. It is painted in warm yellow color with brown accents and wooden window frames. The overall style fits the surrounding buildings, but this structure stands tall above them and has intricate ornamental reliefs beneath the roof and in-between floors. There are two statues that represent the vilai guarding the main entrance to the building and one life-sized statue of a silver deer in the middle of the ground floor atrium. For these reasons, the healery is also called by the people The Yellow Palace.   The Healery consists of seven main areas.
The Apothecary

Located on the ground floor, the apothecary is the most visited area of the healery. It has cures and relievers for most all of known ailments and often that is the first place a person in need visits. The apothecary has four healers who work there. The healers will check the ailed person and prescribe the correct potion, balm or powder. If they are unsure of what ails the person, they will send them into The Infirmary.
The Infirmary

Located next to the Apothecary, the Infirmary offers more experienced and more educated healers. There are two of them working there at any one time. They will do a series of tests on the ailed person to figure out what illness befell them. If there is an easy cure, they will prescribe the correct potion, balm or powder and send them into the Apothecary. If the problem is more complex, they will offer additional advice. If the problem is quite serious, they will send them to one of two areas: The Diagnosies or The Operatory.
The Diagnosies

Located on the first floor, the diagnosies has two head healers. These are the most skilled and most experienced healers in the healery. They dedicate special attention to every case and strive to find the reason behind the ailment. They organize and perform operatory procedures and prescribe potions, balms or powders. Sometimes a person is sent straight to the operatory if the healers from the infirmary know the exact ailment.
The Operatory

Located next to the infirmary, this area is used for performing operatory procedures on ailed persons. It is cleaned each hour with utmost care and there is nursing staff always present to aid the healer. After the procedure is over, the person is transported to The Rest Area.
The Rest Area

Located on the second floor, the rest area consists of two parts. The resting rooms, equipped with beds and other necessary tools, and the nurse's room, a place where all nursing staff can have a break from hard work.
The Youth Center

Located on the third floor, the youth center is for all aged 20 and under. There are resting rooms and a small entertainment space for the youngest. It is also the area where all babies are born, within the Birth Chamber.   Each floor is equipped with a washroom and a lavatory, as well as pulley platforms that take people to different levels. The healery has one last area.
The Mortuary

This is the only area located in the basement of the healery. The mourturer prepares the those who die in the healery for transport to The Last Rites Monastery. The mourturer is not a busy job, so the person who is a morturer ofter has other work within the healery. Only one person per the moon cycle on average dies inside the walls of the healery. That is why The Healery of Dion is one of the best places to look for a cure as it is most equipped and has the most skilled staff in all of Senn Celai.

Purpose / Function

The healery was built in the place of a previous smaller healery that burned down in a terrible accident know as The Burning of Dion.

Alterations

Its iconic yellow paint and ornaments, along with the inner statue, were all added in 1845, after a petition made by the Council of People at the previous year's meeting of the Council.

Architecture

The Heleary was built in the style of 1820's architecture. This style, known as Ornatto, is characterized by three-meter tall ceilings, wide windows and the well-known ornamental reliefs that adorn the exterior walls. The reliefs are based on the shapes of tree branches and their natural curves. Usually, these reliefs are of a different color. The Healery has them colored a natural brown. The entire building is constructed out of Yurillion marble. The roof is slate, with a fire red wash.
