Alpha (a.k.a. Voltaire)
Voltaire was Richard Lohdan's first viable stitching success. He is inferior to Raico in terms of strength and a brute force contest between the two of them will end in his loss every time. However, he is more intelligent, articulate, and has a much greater ability to plan and work around problems. His agility and flexibility are also greater than Raico, which makes a fight between them more of a contest. Richard taught him to read and write, along with some scientific knowledge as well.
As he gained more ability to form his own identity, he resented his role as nothing more than property and escaped during his third mission. With very little real understanding of the wider world, he stalked the settlements on the northern border and mimicked what he saw. However, he spent most of his time in the woods, killing whatever animals he came across for food. The name he was given at ‘birth’ was Alpha, but he changed it after escaping and took a new name instead to separate himself from his ‘father’. He has had contact with Johann and the two formed a quasi-partnership in which Voltaire will give Johann medical herbs and such that he finds in exchange for clothing and books as he knows he cannot go into populated areas. Returning to the area around his former ‘master’s’ home, he has seen Raico a few times and knows what he is. However, he feels no motivation to help Raico escape and feels that if he is too dumb to understand he’s being used, then he deserves to stay.
Physical Description
General Physical Condition
His body is not fused correctly and thus he still has several stitching lines and exposed metallic pieces that hold his body together. His eyes seem to have no pupils but it is actually that he has very little iris area and can see much better than other creatures.
Identifying Characteristics
His most obvious features are the exposed stitches and metal plates that hold him together, along with several missing pieces of flesh.
Special abilities
He stronger than an average human, but weaker than his successor in terms of physical strength.
Apparel & Accessories
He wears a long black hooded robe that is slightly too large for him and slips off of one shoulder. His pants are scavenged and composed of torn black fabric of varying types, along with some netting. He does not wear shoes as he sees no use for them.
