Katta Nikuya is a large, brutal man whose skin is littered with scars across his body in an almost ritualistic fashion. His one remaining eye is inky black, like those of his adoptive family-- the Kuromizu.

Katta Nikuya grew up on the streets of Silver Port during the years of the Rebellion, where most men were either drafted into the Shuwa Clan's armies or ran off to join the Akatsuki rebels themselves. Little is known of the man before he founded his own gang as a child, even his name is more what people called him-- Nikuya literally meaning 'Butcher' from how violent he was even from a young age.
What is known about all he was involved in the pre-Akastuki Summer days is mostly rumors and urban legends, though it is clear that he and his gang nearly paid the price for their reputation. When Katsuro Ken took over the Silver Guard, they were quick to begin their work of cleansing the city of the gangs that once plagued their streets. The Katta Gang was especially targeted, and with as much force as could be mustered at that, some even claiming this was the event that caused Nikuya to lose one of his eyes in the conflict. Either way, the Katta gang was decimated and the remnants fled and took refuge with the Kuromizu Clan where they now serve as brutal enforcers and deterrents to any who dare challenge their master's rule of the underworld of Silver Port. When a brutal murder takes place in the city, the Katta Family with Nikuya at the head of it tends to be the primary suspect.
