Vulyna

The Vulyna is an apex predator living in the deepest forests of Seiðrheim. It is a four-legged creature with thick reddish brown fur, incredibly sharp teeth, four ears, and somewhat resemble a massive fox. The skin between their limbs is quite stretchy allowing them to glide short distances. Vulynas' thick fur is a natural sound dampener and that makes them incredibly difficult to hear as they run and glide through the forest. When hunting, the Vulyna uses its front ears to track its prey while using its rear ears to listen to the surrounding environment. They will glide from branch to branch until finally pouncing on their prey. Because of their strong sense on hearing Vulyna are capable of travelling by sight or by sound, this means that they can hunt effectively during day and night.

The Vulyna will hunt down any living creature for food when desperate but prefers the meatier creatures so that it doesn't have to hunt as often. In the forest the Vulyna doesn't have to worry about other predators as it can sense them coming from afar. In fact chances are if you've seen a Vulyna it is probably too late to survive, as they are very reclusive creatures.

Sometimes Vulyna can be found far from their habitat, this may be due to natural disaster forcing them away or perhaps an exotic animal collector paying some poachers for one. There is an old tale about a Vulyna that escaped its enclosure and made its way into an Arazar Peacock farm and wreaked havoc. The Vulyna killed all of the peacocks at that farm and made off with as many as it could carry, the price of peacocks rose substantially that year.
