Golden Scar Treatment

The process of replacing ones demonic scars with celestial variants. When the subject is given the treatment they become more celestially aligned, in a way they become half Aasimar gaining some of the traits. Generally those who have been cured in this way have joined the Golden Templars to fight back against the demons invading this world.
Before the Golden Templars can begin to cure the patients they must first capture them. Since the scarred ones are controlled by demons and unwilling to be cured the process can appear a bit brutish to the outside perspective. In the end though it is worth it as their soul is returned to the light and that is one less minion in the demons army.
In order to cure the patients of their scarring they must have a strong enough soul to withstand the blessing of the gods. It is possible that the patient will die from the conversion but it is at least a humane way for them to perish. The souls that die during the blessing are pulled back into the celestial plane to pass on.
Those that survive the scarring change, they are no longer the person they once were. Since they experienced so much pain and suffering during the scarring process they have a completely different personality. The cured can appear almost emotionless and hardened, ready to take on whatever this world throws at them next. Because of the great change to their personality they make for very powerful warriors capable of unimaginable feats.
As time passes the cured tend to develop a much stronger connection to the major good deities and begin becoming more Aasimar-like.
