Goblin Tooth Necklace

The Dwarves and the Orcs have been at war for a long time, the Dwarves smash Orcish trade lines, the Orcs raid Dwarven villages and towns looting for their Dragon God. The Dwarves plunder and sink Orcish trading vessels, and the Orcs return the favor and plunder and sink Dwarven ships indiscriminately. It has been like this for a long time, however there are Orcs and Dwarves that want to see the endless fighting come to an end. They meet in secret, in the cities and towns, orcs are dwarves, to discuss their plans to bring the war to a close.

The way these orcs and dwarves identify themselves is with goblin tooth necklaces. These necklaces started as an orcish fashion trend among the warriors, the dwarves would remove them from the fallen orcs and keep them as battle trophies. Within the last age the necklaces have come into fashion in both the Orcish cities and the Dwarfish Cities. They were so common at one point they became necessity for any outfit. This led to a huge downturn in the goblin populations, as they were hunted mercilessly for their teeth. Soon the goblins became scarce, and new necklaces could not be made, whenever a new goblin encampment was found the Dwarves and Orcs would race to reach it first, to satisfy their desire for these teeth.

This was the first time the Orcs and Dwarves collaborated, which is why the goblin tooth necklace has been adopted as their symbol by the Open Hearth Coalition. The necklaces went out of fashion years ago, for both the Dwarves and Orcs, but there are still those who wear them. A resurgence in their sales has started to clean out secondhand stores in the major Dwarven Cities, as the popularity of the Open Hearth Coalition grows. It is certainly more popular in the Dwarven Cities, but the number of Orcs that have joined is steadily climbing.
