the first mora of new mycenae is the military of camp half blood. the mora is the greek counterpart to the roman Twelfth Legion Fulminata. acted as the the shield of Olympus as the romans act as its sword. the mora play the pivotal role in both the Second Titanomachy and the second Gigantomachy.

war games

The first mora has capture-the-flag as a long-running tradition held every Friday. the game is played in the forest next to New Mycenae. Two teams made up of 4 pentēkostyai each. the teams are given a flag which they can hide anywhere on their side of the forest, both teams must hide their flag somewhere visible, but easily defensible. To win for your team, you need to capture the opponent's flag and carry it across the river that divides the middle of the forest, and acts like a border. the 4 Lochagos and the Polemarch act as referee/observer as they observe the training exercise, coach and train individuals and provide input after exercises to improve the small-scale cohesion of the lower units.   The Mora has a monthly competition that includes the pentathlon made up of long jump, javelin throw, discus throw, stadion footrace and pankration. with individual events of stadion footrace, diaulos footrace, pankration, melee/mass tournament, spear only dueling, spear shield dueling, sword only dueling, sword and shield dueling, archery competition, and 200m swims.

Elections

all ranks of leadership must be elected by both their direct subordinates and their peers of the rank in which they are being elected to. Both electoral bodies require a simple majority to elect a candidate. The Polemarch being the leader, with no peers replaces the vote by peers with a vote from the entire army. There are biennial elections on the summer solstice for all ranks as well as emergence elections in case of deaths or votes of no confidence. For a vote of no confidence to be triggered a motion must be signed by at least one-third of the Members of an electoral body and must set a time and place for the issues to be debated. for the vote to pass it must be a two-thirds vote majority, if failed another one can't be submitted for six months after last rejected vote of no confidence. If passed the elected officer is stripped of rank and banned from holding any senior position for three years.
