Genasi

Around the World orbit four celestial bodies, four moons each made up of one of the four elements. The Elemental Moons are not desolate wastelands of raw elemental power however, and could be claimed to be living creatures, as the "elemental" creature suggests, being wrought of nothing but the moon itself. There are several different species that live on each moon as well, and some of them are civilized. The latter category is helmed by the Genies, who formed some of the most ancient of societies on their home world.
Much more common than these powerful fonts of elemental essence is the Genasi, who are scarcely different from the likes of humans aside from the obvious influencers. They are their own unique type of people though, and broad strokes can be generally made based on the type of Genasi at hand.
The four breeds are:
Ifrit, Fire Genasi of Char
Oread, Earth Genasi of Tethys
Undine, Water Genasi of Merida
Sylph, Air Genasi of Aeronia

Basic Information

Biological Traits

Biologically, genasi are surprisingly little different from humans on the material world. It is the elemental distinctness that separates them entirely from the genome, making them very alien. This one particular signature has become a point of scientific research within the last century, as new types of magical teleportation have arisen, allowing easier travel back and forth from the moons.
In truth, the name Genasi isn't a proper name for these extraterrestrial people, and only used as a blanket term for "people that live on any one of the moons." Each of the different types of genasi are their own separate species, as they are as much like each other as they are to humans, and perhaps the difference is even greater.

Additional Information

Geographic Origin and Distribution

Only one true home exists for any genasi, and that is on their respective elemental moon. They are the prominent intelligent species on each of their home worlds.
On the Material World however, they are rather rare. They can be found just about anywhere, but congregate around places that remind them of home and give them the greatest comfort. Their rarity however makes it difficult for any genasi civilization to grow on the world.

Civilization and Culture

History

Civilization potentially arose on the moons before the Material World, led by the wise leadership of the genies. The source of the genasi however is unconfirmable, but some theories exist. The first being they are naturally from the moons, just as native as raw elementals, potentially formed by the genie overlords. Another suggests natural evolution. One that rises with evidence from when people visit the planes from the material world suggests that they are transformed people.
The history of genasi culture is long, because it is the story of four completely seperate species on completely different worlds. As such, each story cannot be detailed here.

Body Tint, Colouring and Marking

Genasi are characterized by elemental influence, and as such appear as personified versions of their element.
Ifrit have skin tones of reds and oranges, with blues of various shades highlighting in strange patterns. Their eyes are usually pupilless orbs of orange. Their hair is also a similar color that is never at rest, constantly shifting and fluctuating like it has a life of its own.
Oread are unique for their variety of skin tones, ranging from pale as marble, or dark skinned like granite, or possibly redish orange like clay. Their eyes are dull brown, appearing almost black, and are often bald, the exception being beards on the men, which are a sign of wisdom and status.
Undine appearance gives them a challenge, as they are scarcely different from the likes of sea elves, merfolk, tritons, and even sahaugin. Their skin is blue, ranging from light sky blue, to deep darker shades on a scaly hide. Often they have fins. Hair comes in the color of sea foam, and their eyes are vibrant teal.
Sylphs are fair skinned, though sometimes appear a bright teal color. Their eyes come in a silver or white color, and their hair is similarly shaded.
