Order of the Broken Blade

The Order of the Broken Blade is unorthodox in that most of it's recruits are adults rather than trained as children.
Most of the recruits are ex-knights of other orders.  The Order of the Broken Blade are all atoning for some serious past misdeed and a lot of them are ex-Oath Breakers.
The Order of the Broken Blade reports directly to the king or one of his top advisors.  The Broken Knights are something of a suicide squad.  They are sent on extremely dangerous quests in order to regain their honor or die trying.
