Satyrs
Far more wild and chaotic than their sapient fae counterparts, satyrs (wood elves) have a tendency to be more hostile to outsiders than friendly. The deeper in the woods one travels, the more dangerous the satyrs can be. It has been recorded that some tribes have even resorted to cannibalism, seeing other humanoids as just a greater hunt; more of a trophy than a true meal.
Alternatively, those who embrace their customs can be welcomed with open arms. These individuals will be treated as special in satyr tribes and become a resource for trade and the outside world.

Basic Information
Genetics and Reproduction
Satyrs only have a singular window to reproduce conventionally during the month of Falober. This time, known as Illihallra, coincides with a powerful surge of magic from the Realm of Dreams that creates life and foliage in nature.
Outside this window, satyrs will sometimes perform hedonistic rituals to draw the Realm of Dreams closer. A satyr could also have children with a homunculus at nearly any time.

Dietary Needs and Habits
Unlike Elvirr and other fae, satyrs have no restraints to consuming meat. Quite the contrary, in fact, as satyrs are fond of a high protein diet. While they have not strayed from eating vegetables and bread, hunting takes priority over farming and foraging for satyrs.
Additional Information
Facial characteristics
These fae have sharp teeth and "wild" eyes that give them an unpredictable and predatory demeanor. They can sometimes be confused with Elkage based on their complexion. They have animal horns similar to that of a ram or impala.
Satyrs of the Velsúlë have Green, black, blonde, or “calico” hair. Their eyes can be green, red, or bleached pink.
Satyrs of the Fëng have Hair of Brown, black, green, and “tortoiseshell”. Their eyes range between green, brown, and grey.

Civilization and Culture
Naming Traditions
Names of fae are relatively similar to each other regarding the different ethnic groups. Names are written as short poems that are meant to be prophetic of their purpose, though the vagueness of these poems often leads to odd life decisions.
Ex: Viirë Vorra, Shuauli 'Hilaiwë, Aiwenlba Vheshal, Jhiolirin, Zshu Valë, and Farindale Palaish

Relationship Ideals
Families are uncommon in satyr society. The females will give birth only accompanied by wet nurses/nanny figures known as "Alar". After birth, the Alar takes the infant from the mother to be raised in a separate group with all of the other children. Satyr children never learn who their parents are, but this does not mean they may not meet their parent as a member of the community.
She had not even given the child a name before the Alar had taken the infant away. No confirmation of it being a boy or a girl. Not even a description of the small horns on its head. They would meet again, but as strangers.
Common Dress Code
Satyrs will sometimes wear light linen tunics or vests, but most choose to wear nothing at all. Most of society sees their furry lower half as acceptably modest. This attitude can change for a variety of reasons; for example, colder temperatures may require warm clothing for their upper half. Additionally, fighters and warriors may wish to don armor for battle.
Culture and Cultural Heritage
To be a satyr is to revel in Hedonism. All satyrs live for the now and thrive in high energy environments. To be part of a satyr society is to party through the night and feast during the day.
History
Elvirr, satyrs, and other fae creatures all have a similar origin. Being said to be created by Fallovrin Loriaill, Fallovrin used the Realm of Dreams to manifest creatures to reside in and be wardens of the forests.
During the War of the Second Age, as a result of Faeohta, A large population of satyr escaped Trearche with King Faegorn. These satyrs became the Velsúlë, where their brethren, who sought to build a kingdom entirely of their own fled to South Knopia and became the Fëng. Since the Dawn of the Second Age, the Fëng had a difficult time forming a true government as control and rules have since become "Against the Fëng". Some satyrs pledged fealty to the Chorus of Faekind . Others chose to find their way in other civilizations.

Interspecies Relations and Assumptions
In society, Saytrs are seen as wildlings. They are treated as regards as they themselves are not humanoid. Commonly traded as slaves or used as fodder for arenas. When they are not slaves, they can often be seen in gangs with totookichtin and orcs. Saytrs can be zealous, ambitious, and aggressive in a viperish manner.
Alternatively, they can be seen more as impulsive by some. Being creatures of hedonism, they often grow up in a culture cherishing the "now". This is not true for each and every Saytr. Some can use their zealous nature in a quick-witted/verbal manner. Some ambitions require patience to achieve. It's with this understanding that the relationship with Saytrs can vary on who you talk to and where you are at.

Saytrs often appear as though they are squatting, their bodies lean forward in a manner somewhere between human and animal getting ready to sprint or strike. They have unusually short, yet powerful thighs. This, with their longer shins, gives them great legs for sprinting or leaping. Their lower torso is covered in fur with cloven hooves for feet. Fingertips grow to points along with fingernails.
Body Tint, Colouring and Marking
Body markings are different based on regionality. The skin is often a peachy color when shaved. The fur on their body, however, can come in a multitude of colors. In Faegorn, the Satyrs lineage is known as Velsúlë and can range from a Peach, Brown, Green, and even a spotty multicolored “Calico” fur. The Velsúlë people care greatly about divinity and tradition. Adornments will often be more ceremonial and ritualistic. Body modifications such as piercings and adornments to accessorize their stature in the caste system is not uncommon.
South Knopia has the Fëng who's lineage carries fur of brown, tan, “tortoiseshell”, and grey. Tattoos are quite common in the tribe. Personal wealth is not nearly as much an emphasis as it is in the Velsúlë.
