The people of Gol rise up against the slaadi, and the Duke of Golryon gives them the magic freely to do so.

In response to a near full scale rebellion, Lofus Stormborn, gives the people of Golryon Runic Tattoos to become Wielders, a sort of sorcerer that can bend the laws of the world to their desires with little training. With a thousand of these commoners, hundreds of city Wardens, and hundreds more mercenaries, the city itself goes together into the caverns beneath Golryon to purge the city of the slaadi presence.   In response to this attack, the slaadi's creator returned from a hiatus, journeying through the cosmic soup known as the Source of Negative Energy to gain power and resolve, also known as The Sutëir. This creator was Illuvatar, the Lich that spawned The Feast of Hell  and destroyed every civilization in the Bay in it's time, save one. It was said that the hordes of undead starved outside the city, unable to cross the lake and the city walls... except their leader was found underneath the city very much alive 500 years later.   Nothing could defeat this impossibly powerful menace, and Illuvatar laid waste to the people of Gol, showing them all the spirits of the dead with which he held dominion. It was the sacrifice of Samuail Aarlong, that took the Lich's unlife, tackling him into the magma tubes that led deeper underground, and saving the city.
