Samuail Aarlong

A child of Heraconei in the The Bronze Seas, Sam's parents split early in life. Going with his mother, he learned archery and thievery, especially how to talk his way out of situations and blend in to large crowds. Eventually, he lost his mother failing to find a trap that killed her, finding an artifact Charm Bow named Dulgaron to remember her by.
Becoming a spy in Golryon, Sam used his skills, and his new Runic tattoo, to help people. Being sent to infiltrate The Ember Spears did not go over well, however, and he became their prisoner. Soon afterwards, though, he earned their trust and joined the group on a provisional basis, which was never lifted until his death.
His only true desire after the loss of his old family was to find a new one, to be loved and accepted. He found this with Kevin, a vampire child that was orphaned at a young age like he was. Taking care of the boy, feeding him his own blood until a better solution could be found, Sam became attached to Kevin.
In the Battle for the Fifth Ward, and the later attack on the Slaadi, Sam gave his beloved crimson red cloak to Kevin, calling him his son. Soon after, he died in the battle, tackling the Death Slaadi and Lich Illuvatar, the cause of The Feast of Hell, into a magma river. He did this by using a magical Charm of his homeland, the sands of the Bronze Sea, his history.
