House Luena

Luena Essendale was the name of a female Elf that fled the Burning of Erinion and came to the barbaric holdings of the Bay of Evandyr. She shepherded the group of her people that trusted her through the decimation and the dark times, and evaded the monsters in the wild through cunning and deception. The mannish barbarians would come to pillage, and they wouldn't be able to find the Elven camps. For a generation they were set against eachother, still remembering the battles before the Burning of Erinion between Erinion and the Qu'aran people. However, over time the hostilities faded with the sting of the loss, and the realization came that these humans were not Qu'aran, but the ones the Ancient Empire tried to protect. From the shadows, the children of Luena Essendale infiltrated and influenced both sides of the elven and mannish tribes, using spies and lies and their great reach to calm the precedent for violence... and create peace and slow integration of the two societies. These elves called themselves the Light of Luena, after their holy mother that kept them safe through the Silent Times.
House Luena is the oldest of all the Runic Houses, but when Golryon was founded they mainly stuck to the wilds, though some superstitious elves of the Order believed the rumors of The Feast of Hell, and held out in Golryon. When the calamity did happen in 355 AB, most of the Luenas were killed in the necrotic battles, and the Order turned House did not return to their great levels of infiltration and spywork that they achieved before that point again, until the coming of magic in 699 AB
After arcane magic was rediscovered with the Darkwater Chest, the Houses all changed, and Luena did as well. Pleasing the Stormborns by sometimes working as spies for them, and sometimes against them, they could always have information that Lofus and the people of Gol needed, and through playing both sides, they got the magic they desired. Through this, the Order of the Light of Luena was restored.
In all of the Simonian Age, House Luena worked as spies and contracted information brokers, using their magical Runes to great effect, of practical uses that even the gnomes of Kyndarai did not invent, for their goals are occasionally more sinister, such as orchestrating an uprising.
In current events, the House of Luena is investigating the events of The Battle for the Fifth Ward, and how it happened all so suddenly. Specifically, they are interested in a being so named; "The Dreamer in the Darkness," that is rumored to have orchestrated the entire event.
