Alva Tolvarti
Alva Tolvarti was a gnomish alchemist, who was fascinated with the deeper secrets of the world, as he sought to cure his people of a mysterious disease he discovered. This fascination inevitably led to his downfall, taking more and more of a dark spirit within himself, in order to gain strength to defeat his terrible foe, Illuvatar.
When Illuvatar was finally defeated, Alva was left in a sorry state, the negative energies sapping his body at the same time they granted immense control over death. In the end, he begged his own friends to kill him, to save him, and the world from what he might do if let free.
Alva Tolvarti died as such, in 852 AB, during the Battle for the Fifth Ward .
