Glow Magnet

"Do you think if I got four big glow magnets, and I strapped them to my hands and feet, I could climb up a monolith?"   "I think I'd like to see you fall on your face."

Glow magnets are small devices made of kaalite that use the Celestial Law of Attraction to attract Luminous materials to them.

Utility

Glow magnets are a very simple concept. Any chunk of kaalite could technically work as a glow magnet. It works better the more pure the kaalite is.

They work by giving them a decently strong Aura charge, which causes the kaalite to generate a small Aura field, making it attracted to kaalite of the same Luminosity. This can be used to collect smaller pieces of kaalite, or stick the magnet itself to a larger piece.

The Aura charge wears off pretty quickly, so a small magnet will need a constant input in order to work. Most Glow magnets are powered by the Glow of whoever is holding them.

Glow magnets are primarily used as cute novelty items. They are an easy and fun way to demonstrate the law of Attraction to children learning about Glow. They can also collect tiny mites of kaalite from the surrounding soil.

Discovery

Glow magnets don't have a clear discovery date, as people have been playing with pieces of kaalite since they learned about Aura. High quality magnets haven't been produced or sold en masse until recently, when technology was sufficient to manufacture them.
