Raz'ka (RAZ KA)
the serpent, the devourer
Raz'ka is the patron god of the Yuan-ti and one of the Thirteen. He is known as the devourer and represents the inevitable end of all things, a gluttonous god, his body is said to be that of a great serpent, but the god is also reserved in its tastes seeking only to consume that which has properly ripened. Like a forest fire that clears space for new life, Raz'ka is considered a emotionless force that can be avoided, but never escaped. According to the followers of Raz'ka, even the other gods know that some day all of their works shall be consumed as well.

Tenets of Faith
The followers of Raz'ka believe that death is both part of the cycle of life and totally unavoidable. By making offering to the Great Serpent they might prolong the inevitable, but not avoid it. Some sects proclaim that all of existence is a cycle of death and rebirth. Above all else they despise necromancers and the undead.
The Black Hand Assassins are a particularly loyal sect of Raz'ka worshipers who believe that they, through a process of selective murder, are ridding the world of those who would do more harm if left alive.
Holidays
Rax'ka presides over the tenth month of Adva in the Dywdian Calendar. His is a time of harvest and most farmers burn a portion of their crops in ceremonial offering thus avoiding the Serpent's gaze for the next year.
Divine Goals & Aspirations
It is said alternately that Raz'ka is a patient or a lazy entity. His role is to consume and remove from the world what should no longer exist. At the end of time he will devour all things, paving the way for a new creation.
He is said to stand in opposition to the goddess Eo as, in the words of his followers, the goddess's unchecked proliferation of nature and life would bring only ruin.
