Knights of the Unicorn

The Knights of the Unicorn represent the pinnacle of social status for an Adventurer in Himse. On some level all Himsean adventurers wish to be part of, or at least on equal footing, as its prestigious members.  While there are no set requirements for membership, it does require recommendation by an existing member as well as approval by a board of the leadership. Thus lower tier adventurers will continually strive for greater achievements in the hope of earning the respect of a even the lowest of Unicorn Knights.

Structure

The head of the Knights is Finadel the Blade guildmaster and adventurer renowned in his day. Below him, most of the daily operations of Himse's most prestigious and welthy adventurer's guild are handled by a group of "generals" who specialize in a wide variety of fields ranging from combat and training to planning, logistics, and administration.

Culture

The Knights are seen as beacons of all things right and proper within the Republic, and thus are held to strict rules of conduct and appearance. While their primary goal is, of course, the dangerous work of slaying monsters and clearing dungeons, when not so engaged, Unicorn Knights are expected to make appearances at a wide variety of functions both social and political, and are expected to be active with at least one charity for those less privileged. Adventurers being who they are, scandals are to be somewhat expected, but those involving Unicorn Knights are dealt with quickly and harshly, and often before the public can become aware.

Public Agenda

Officially the guild's stated agenda is to connect those with the ability to do great deed with those in need of deeds being done. Kindness, generosity, and charity are official values, but one cannot deny that this guild is among the wealthiest organizations within Himse, if not all of Sanzeia. While not officially part of the Himsean government, the Knights are bankrolled directly by the High Council of Himse and High Council Lianthorn is one of their largest supporters. When the council needs something done, be it the slaying of a monster or a more covert operation in support of its continual struggle with the Yvalian Empire the Unicorn Knights are the first summoned.

Assets

While an exact report has never been made public, it is well known that the guild possesses a massive vault, of riches, magical equipment, and dangerous items it is intentionally keeping from the rest of the world. The Unicorn Knights, being the premier adventuring guild, the Unicorn Knights maintain relatively few branch holdings outside of Himse's capital.
