The Imperial Court
The Imperial Court is the highest authority in the Empire of Lumiaron. The Emperor holds supreme authority here, but no man can rule alone and the masters of the courts govern many aspects of the court on this delegated authority.
Structure
The imperial court is controlled by the Master of the Court who sets the schedule and agenda of each season of court. The seasons of court are delineated by the physical seasons and marked by a festival for each season. For example, winter court begins after the The Festival of Flame.
One of the primary reasons for court attendance is of course to find suitable marraige partners. As all nobles much prove their abilities in Habi in order to claim their The Noble Sash, it is critical that the bloodlines maintain as much magical potential as possible. In order to assure the suitabality of a match, the approval of the Master of Vow and his clerks must be obtained.
War is the ultimate act of politics and as such the man who would command the Emperor's armies in battle, the Master of War, also has a place at court. As the Empire does not have external enemies at this time, this is largely a ceremonial position.
None of the activities of a court comes free and someone must pay the bills. The finance of the court and the Empire of Lumiaron are controlled by the Master of the PUrse.
The people of Lumiaron enjoy certain rights with regards the law which is protected by the Rechtshus, thus chief of the Rechtsprechers, the Rectschef also has a place at court where she represents the law.
The Consang brought with them a tradition of shadow craft and this tradition is maintained by the Emperor's Maitombre, his master of shadows
Viero is the official and only religion in the Empire. The Wheel's Champion, the most revered monk of the Viero order, provides the members of the Imperial court with his wisdom and guidance.
The safety of the Emperor, his family and his court is guarrenteed by The Dragon Guard, one of the most elite and prestigous military organizations in the Empire of Lumiaron.
