Session II: Kobold Hunting Report

General Summary

• The party has just arrived in Hoen and begins to help unload the supplies from the caravan
• They join in on the Winterfest festivities and listen as a youth recites the Origin Myth of Sanctum.
• Someone participated in some game, I think?  Like dodging balls while running on a balance beam?  Maybe throwing the balls?
• Party is notified that some trappers are past due, and possibly lost in the swamps. The group agrees to look for the missing men in the morning.
• With the help of an another trapper from Hoen, Edward Sortis, the party is able to successfully find the missing men and slaughter all of the kobolds.
• Party travels back to Alderweld with the caravan, carrying goods from Hoen (pelts, lumber, etc).  After a number of bad perception rolls, the party discovers that a large quantity of goods was stolen from their cart overnight by some Bullywogs.  Thom is not please.
• The party arrives at Alderweld, is paid for their services (minus the amount for the lost goods) and at the recommendation of Thom has their charges dropped.  Thom promises them more work in the future when he does another supply run, if they are interested.
• When the party leaves the guardhouse, they are confronted by Lewis Paxton.  Riya flees, but is caught by Paxton's half-orc bodygaurds.  She is placed back in prison, but with some creative thinking on Anguish's part (and some cake from Tully) the party manages to full the town guards Thomas and Bruce and free Riya.
• The party flees to Tully's house and hides in her family's fish shed.  A brief interaction with her dad ensue's ("It is you Tully!") and the party begins to plan their next move.

Rewards Granted

Anguish collected a sling from a slain kobold scout.
Riya was gifted a set of warm fur gloves and a warm fur cape in thanks for her part in saving the missing villagers.
Some gold was given as a reward for guarding the caravan, killing the wolves, and helping the village. Some gold was withheld for failing to notice the Bullywog's emptying one of the wagons while the party was on watch.

Missing Hoen hunters were successfully rescued from Kobold scouts.
