Session 009: Report

General Summary

After your brief struggle with the tribals who tried to ambush and kill you, you were left with three captives and a heavy load of of supplies destined for the town of Stonewell. You slept lightly that night, tending to your wounds as needed and keeping an eye on the trio and other dangers of the night.
The tribals eventually regained consciousness, and you began to interrogate them for information. You found few answers, as the two brutes spoke no Common language and the cat-man was less than cooperative after your forcible attempts at coercion. You learned that were from one of the northern tribes, and that they had been sent south on some sort of mission, to attack and pillage around the settlement. The Tabaxi admitted no connection to the Hastumite nobility, and became angry when you asked if they were hired by someone.
In the morning, you began to travel north, your pace set by the stability of your ramshackle cart and the endurance of your rope-bound captives. You traveled that day without incident, and made it across the River Enwe, where set up camp on a meadow well off the road.
You were attacked again, in the dead of the night. Great wolves sprang from the dark forest, and thanks to your sentry, you were barely able to get out of your tents before the beasts were on you. One of the three beasts was possessed, its eyes aglow with a ghostly green light. You defeated the wolves, and witnessed the green spirit fly into the sky and far towards north, above the forest and into the horizon.
