Session 008: Report

General Summary

Your lead for the missing caravan took you to the northern outskirts of The Great Heartwood, where you found the carriages, broken down in the middle of a forest clearing. With no sign of survivors or the attackers, you began to rifle through the remains of the supply caravan, when you were approached by a lone tabaxi.
The strange cat-man accused you of trespassing, his words dripping with contempt. During the conversation you were alerted by noises in the treeline, and spotted three more people trying to sneak into your flank. His ambush ruined, the tabaxi ordered his companions to attack.
Though one of the brutes was smitten and instantly killed, the tabaxi flung spells which left many of you seriously wounded. In the end, you were able to capture him and two other assailants.
After liberating them of their valuables, you tied them up and began to cobble together a makeshift cart to carry your captives and what remains of the supplies back to Stonewell. Within a few hours, you had a somewhat-serviceable two-wheel cart, which could be pulled by Theo's hound.
As the night fell, you tended to your aching wounds and rested, preparing for the next day's journey.
