Granite Gorge

Granite Gorge is comprised of a lake surrounded by rocky granite hills, formed by erosion and an ancient glacier from Ithfaen Peaks. The gorge is dotted with conifer trees, which become denser on the west side. The canyon gets little rainfall during summer and autumn but becomes very rainy and windy in spring.
The hiking trails that snake around the gorge, its intriguing geology, and the cold lake attract lots of tourism from the nearby town of Cilfallyn.
