Electrical Moonlight Panels [WASC2020]

The third age of saga dorm was ushered in by an Industrial Revolution powered with new electricity. This electricity was discovered by modifying the crystal cores retrieved from the blessed animals. During the first era, only fairies could tap the magical energy stored within the cores. During the second era, anyone could tap the magical energies in cores through the use of a mechanical ferry to perform simple magical spells. During the third era, electricity had been discovered and finally harnessed. Seeking to create large amounts of electricity, the crystals harvested from the petrified remains of blessed animals were pulverized and embedded in panels to absorb the magical essence showered upon Sagadorm from the four moons.
These panels would extract the magical essence and converted into raw electrical power. This was a "direct current" system of electricity that could then charge batteries that could be placed in different electronics or electrical devices.
Due to the nature of the four moons of saga dorm, it required four different kinds of panels. As each moon exuded a different elemental energy, fire air earth and water, the panels would need to be made of crystal cores from the blessed animals that belong to each of these elemental types. This would mean that to capture the magical essence of the water moon, crystal cores would need to be harvested from water animals, commonly fish and other creatures of the sea.
The first panel to be created was a panel that could capture the fire elemental power. This was the "easiest" element to convert into electricity. After the fundamentals were discovered, the other three elements quickly followed.
Large arrays of moonlight panels are now found throughout many country sides to be able to harvest the moonlight regardless if it is daytime or nighttime. These panels are often set up in boxes that can rotate, one panel on each side of a rectangular box. Depending which moon is closest would depend on which moonlight panel is exposed to the sky. The panels charge best when it is nighttime, however there is some ability to charge during the daytime.
The discovery of solar panels to efficiently capture sunlight was not discovered till many decades after the moonlight panels. These solar panels are only able to be used to generate electricity. While moonlight panels are still able to be used to charge the mechanical fairies used during the second era of power generation.
The economies of the world quickly adapted each of the new eras of power generation rapidly. However the third era, which provided electricity and the invention of electronic devices ushered in a new age of information, computers, mass communication, etc. The second era, using the mechanical fairies, still relied on pen and paper for its communication. Radio waves were discovered during the third era. Historians still argue on the exact year or invention that transitioned between the second era and the third era of power generation of saga dorm. However they all agree that the decades that overlapped these two areas were some of the greatest errors of invention known throughout the history of saga dorm.
During the third era and the invention of electronic devices, inventions have continually increased throughout the generations. Due to the initial discovery of electrical power and its ability to be gathered through moonlight and solar panels, other inefficient methods of generating power, such as coal or wood, were quickly abandoned. Oils, either from animals or distilled petroleum products, never caught in favor due to their pollution factor and the wide availability of the moonlight and solar panels.
The magical origins of the crystals used within the moonlight panels allow them to last for many many years. However they are quite expensive due to the difficulty of finding the crystal cores required. Solar panels, in recent decades have become more popular as crystalline cores were replaced with silicone and could be created without harvesting the cores of blessed animals.
