Book 3 of the Raiders Threat Trilogy

The Vekornan raiders have entered the solar system, triggering rash actions by the military and the government. When a rogue branch of the Defense Fleet takes matters into its own hands, the world helplessly awaits the results. On Mars, Rametin has been trapped by a powerful alien race that wants to enforce their guidance on humanity, on their own terms, and only after they eliminate the vekorna –friend and raider alike. As the fleets converge, Jairon, still suffering from his experiences on Enceladus, races back to Terra with a new defense that could protect the fragile space laser array, if he can arrive in time.

The Raiders Threat is ended, one way or another, and is superceded by a larger one. Friends and foes alike battle against the invaders, as the three families try to coordinate the defence of Terra.

Jairon and Kym arrive at Terra with their package, courtesy the sacrifice of the newfound colony. With the help of Nrabé, they set it up to protect the fragile laser array, and wait for the battle to begin.

Rametin and Kaelyn, trapped under the invisible zonguan dome, try to resist the forced bonding of the aliens, at the same time attempting to deflect their attention from Terra and their sworn enemies, the vekorna. But a search party arrival goes awry, and the battle is joined, just as one of Rametin's crew decides to take matters into his own hands.

Stranded on Terra, Kezim lights a fire under the stunned Terran military, and helps them rise to Terra's defence. Monera, in the outer solar system to meet the raiders, must decide between her duty as the negotiator, and her desire -a means to get to Aderen.
