The multicoloured grasses of the Steppes are the home to a band of free-loving bandits, nomads and mercenaries: the Cossacks. Initially entirely made up of Polkan centaurs, the Cossacks never turn away anyone who is looking to escape the societal pressures of grasping lords, greedy monasteries, or the noose. They therefore now include many other species within their bands.
