Ithilovrasi
The ithilovrasi tongue, descended from the elven sylvari, is used almost exclusively by the moon elves and their creations.
As the early wood elf society become more insular, minority groups of elves that wished to explore the new world grew into a dissatisfied subculture that ultimately broke free and became wanderers.
Written Sylvari degraded into simple glyphs for ease of expression, while spoken Sylvari was restructured to provide context more clearly and extended into more tonal detail to convey emotion as a subtext. Cumulative changes to the language helped speech convey more depth but also made it more difficult to interpret, which when combined with the physical separation from the sylvari and the wanderers, created a truly distinct language.
