The Plaguelands

On the south side of the Omnipresence Independent Territories are depths that go down into the Monstrous Layer. These lands are controlled by Vermin and are extremely dangerous to traverse, Vermin hunting parties and patrols ensure their control over the Lands. There are constant skirmishes that occur close to the border making it nearly impossible to enter in the first place. A foul mist covers these depths making them hazardous to even breath unless you're an Automaton or Vermin. There is a theory that this fog is created by the superweapon in the OIT and the Vermin simply don't know how to properly use it.
