Ethru

Geography

Ethru is what the majority of people from Ruia call the world.   The planet orbits Aria, a G6V star which has a stellar mass of 0.933 Sols and 79.37% of the Sun's luminosity. It orbits at a mean distance from Aria of 0.857 AU in a nearly circular orbit (e = 0.0153). This makes a year on Ethru just a bit under 300 days long.   Ruia is orbited by two moons, Thia, the large, fast moon and Edu, the small, slow moon.   The planet's physical characteristics are quite similar to that of Earth. Its mean diameter is roughly 12,900 km (8,018 miles), which is about 1.3% larger. It is a little less massive (0.995 EMs), too. So, its surface gravity feels 2.9% lower than one would find on Earth (0.971g), which may be why such massive creatures can be found lumbering on its surface. It has an axial tilt of 24.96° so its seasons are distinct.   At this point in history, the people of Ruia are only aware of one landmass, so it is unknown how much of the surface is covered by ocean. But it is assumed that Ruia, like Earth, has about a 70%-30% split between ocean and land. The landmass of Ruia is sometimes divided into three "continents".
