This is the Elven Empire, who are the main antagonistic force in the game. They will be trying to either ally or destroy all the other kingdoms on the continent.
History
In ancient times, the elven empire was vast and grand. But as new races rose, they carved off pieces of the empire for themselves. Giants, Dragons, Goblinoids, Orcs, and more all bit pieces off for themselves. Soon, the elves found themselves hiding in their forests, afraid of the monsters who brought them down. Now though, a new emperor has risen promising the reclamation of their rightful lands and restoration of their power and glory. The general populace likes the sound of this, and
Emperor Celadinian has their full support. They have mostly taken over
Gildar and have set their sights upon
Noburu.
Capital
Their capital is Irenshara, a large elven city that has only grown with their conquests. The name roughly translates as "Forest of 1000 Boughs", which is very appropriate. The elves have used their magic to shape the trees, using large boughs as walkways between the different parts of the city, and weaving closer branches into living platforms. On the ground, there are many outsider friendly areas, such as trading areas, inns, tourist attractions, etc. But as you go higher, you see fewer and fewer non elves. In the crown of the biggest, tallest tree lies the royal palace. A masterfully constructed art piece the size of a mansion, with the Emperor at it's heart. Throughout the city though, there is signs of magic. Floating lights illuminate the night, animated objects do mundane tasks, the guard's equipment is enchanted in a variety of ways, and arcane items flow freely.
