Gildar
This is the main continent of Alentheas. There are various other kingdoms here, but all are either subjugated by the empire or removed. A few tiny kingdoms have hidden by being too small to be a threat, but the empire's grasp over this continent is total. There are few monsters left as well. The elves leave few holes for monsters to hide in, and exterminate anything threatening once they find it. But despite their ruthless efficiency, they aren't actually hated by many of their subjects. There are those who would rather not have these damn elves telling them what to do, but many appreciate the benefits of the elves. Solid infrastructure, protection, access to goods from all over the empire, there are many benefits. You just need to give up some of your freedoms.
