Acolyte Zacharias
"The Lost and the Damned"
++Status - Deceased++
++Charges - Extremis Diabolus++
++Charges - Extremis Diabolus++
Physical Description
General Physical Condition
Zacharias was always gaunt and frail due to the toll taken on his body from constant drug use. This would improve slightly after getting off the drugs, but would fall again once being possessed.
Body Features
Zacharia's daemon form disfigured his body in horrifying ways.
- Glowing, infernal eyes
- One large horn on the right side of the forehead
- Stretched and twisting torso, snapping the spine
- Claws on one hand and feet
- Pincer replacing the other hand, much larger than even the chest
Facial Features
Zacharia's face was scarred and sunken in, almost making him look like a ghoul.
Special abilities
Zacharias was a middling-grade psyker, yet had no control over his powers. This would most times hinder the actions of the acolyte cell, but still be of some use. Upon being possessed, this power increased exponentially along with being able to take the form of a daemon.
Mental characteristics
Personal history
Zacharias was born deep in the city of Malum Primaris, to parents he would never meet. This immediately put him into a life of crime, being raised by a gang instead of real parents. All he knew was steal, assault, and intimidate to survive. This life would lead to nothing, until the Enforcers managed to pin a charge against him. Zacharias had no choice put to change his name, and run away to the Imperial Guard.
Somehow he managed to slip into the ranks despite the many health screenings that should've picked out his serious drug addictions. Zacharias' ways did not change during basic training, and never truly changed throughout the course of his life. He would be assigned to the new Malum 42nd, under command of a Sergeant Lucien to take part in the Siege of Drelograd.
Zacharias was the heavy weapons member of the squad, and used his explosives to great success during the Battle of the Crimson River. He would then take part in the assassination of Remus Draco, then escape Drelograd once the destruction began. It is rumored that he apparently survived a direct bolter shot from a heretic Astartes, but this is unconfirmed.
During his first mission serving Inquisitor Segeric Gaut, Zacharias' latent psychic powers were revealed. It is hypothesized that the drugs he used to take on Malum kept the powers suppressed but due to the Sergeant's forced detox on him, the powers began to show. The acolyte cell agreed to not send Zacharias to the Black Ships, as it would most likely result in his death.
Zacharias would use his powers on occasion to grant an edge in battle, but it would slowly corrupt him and harm his allies. The corruption truly took root once he read a heretic text on the world of Ostrogotha. This text allowed a daemon to infest the acolyte's soul, acting like a parasite and subtly influencing him. However, this daemon would allow him to take a different form when the time was right.
Zacharias would perish during the Adur Crisis. His circumstances of death are unknown, and all those around him have either retired or refuse to comment.
