The Dean of Theory from Quandrix went missing from his office the year before the F Squad started at Strixhaven. His office was still locked from the inside, giving little indication of what might have happened. Dean Kianne took over his workload after this.
Professors Mirsha Gahlván and Quintorius Kand believed their friend figured out how to enchant books to hide inside them, similar to the famed student Rose Pentagar had done. They insisted he was trapped inside a book that Captain Dapplewing had confiscated. To get it and their friend back, they hired the F Squad to steal it from the attic of Dapplewing Manor.
The Dean made his triumphant return to campus in time to save the F Squad from being expelled for the break-in. Later in the year, he enchanted the Lilith script to allow the F Squad to hide within it for safety. They ultimately didn’t use this feature, and significant portions of the script were burnt in the Oriq attack on Krokt Tower.
