4911: Burninghammer Palace Infiltrated
Annual Gala Interrupted by Mysterious Attacker
Bjorn Burninghammer, proud patriarch of the noble house of Arcavios, opened his doors to the public on the 21st day of Griev. Festivities began soon after breakfast & continued throughout the day, celebrating 700 years of close partnership with Strixhaven University.
This year, festivities were accompanied by some exciting, albeit rather unexpected news. Four of our fellow first-years have been chosen as recipients for a scholarship, provided by Bjorn Burninghammer himself. For privacy’s sake, their names shall not be disclosed, but they have been seen in the company of Griffin Burninghammer throughout the year. Furthermore, it was declared that, moving forward, Bjorn would personally fund a yearly sponsorship to send at least five people from impoverished communities to study at Strixhaven.
Exciting as it all was, the night ended on a sour note, when Bjorn’s guests fell into a deep slumber after ingesting a toxin that had been planted on the wine.
“We don’t know how it happened,” said Tabitha, a maid of dwarven descent that works full-time at the Burninghammer Palace. “We keep the special reserves in the cellar. No one but the noble family has access to it. Whoever did this, it had to’ve been a guest. It HAD to’ve been!” After a series of investigations & press interviews, it was discovered that the purpose of this poisoning was a robbery. Fortunately, the culprit’s plans were foiled by one particular group that has been making a name for themselves at Strixhaven University for the past few months: The F Squad.
“Everyone was enjoying the feast… Then, suddenly, they fell asleep. Everyone just fell asleep…”The name of the culprit has yet to be disclosed, but it is assumed that they were either a guest or a member of the help at Burninghammer Palace. There is some speculation that this attack was coordinated by a nefarious organization of rebels, one which cannot legally be named by this writer. However, these Organized Rebels In Question remain at large. Their numbers are unknown, but are rumored to be in the hundreds of thousands. Perhaps now that the nobility has been personally targeted, these Organized Rebels In Question will soon be unmasked. Only question is: When?
