On the advice of a stranger, the merchant Hikmet settled with his caravan on Tadpole Lake, a prime location central to 3 major trading powers. This enriched his family, and the area, and helped connect far-flung cultures over-land for the first time in millennia. This boosted the influence of Al-Zaluma, but also extended the range of influence Tatharia exerted farther to the North.
