War of Dragons

The War of Dragons refers to the war between Kimokotan and the Jiao Alliance. Though war has been declared and several naval battles have been fought, the intense storms and flooding in the early months gave time for political infighting in both camps to fester.
In the Jiao Alliance, the King of Jiaohai was attempting to take control of the Alliance as his empire in retaliation of the declaration of war. In Kimokotan, the Dragon Clan was in control, but had united the other clans as well under a military shogunate. They had enslaved the Gui, as well, a long thought extinct race.
The war gets its name from the fact that the King of Jiaohai is often symbolically represented as a dragon, and Kimokotan is ruled by the Dragon clan.
